The AGE-HIV Study

Studying the connection between accelerated lung aging and HIV

logo1.JPG

The goal of the study is to explore the lung aging effects that occur in PLWH which is connected to development of other lung conditions, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). We strive to answer:

  • Does accelerated lung aging from HIV lead to worse clinical outcomes?

  • Are lungs with an older age in PLWH more likely to have worse disease progression over time?

  • How can we slow lung aging in PLWH?

If you either

Are HIV-

Are HIV+ and

OR

Are on combination antiretroviral therapy

You are eligible to participate!
